Depression Relapse Prevention is an eight week program for people who have had depressive episodes. It combines the use of meditation and other awareness practices with cognitive behavioral therapy to build resilience against the downward spiral of depression. Learn to increase your resilience to life’s challenges by learning to let go of mental habits that negatively effect your mood. Use compassionate awareness to form a new way of working with your thoughts and feelings.

ALEXIS KATZ BIO INFO: Alexis is a psychotherapist who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to guide clients through the process of establishing a more balanced experience of life. This process often includes identifying goals, as well as changing the maladaptive patterns of thought and behavior that interfere with reaching those goals. Alexis uses mindfulness, personally and professionally, as a tool for increasing insight and contentment.

She is a social worker with a Masters Degree from Columbia University and also completed coursework at the Ackerman Institute for Family Therapy as well as the Intensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Training and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) Trainings. She works with individuals, couples and families to provide a structured approach to better understanding and stabilizing emotional issues.
