Health-Preserving Qigong with Dr. Wang

Moving Meditations for beginners and intermediates
Qigong is an ancient Chinese health-promoting exercise. Qigong practices enhance overall mental and physical health and improve the outcome of post surgical/medical/injury recoveries. The hour-long class concentrates on basic Qigong postures, movements, breathing and mental concentration to unify body and mind, followed by meditation for self-awareness, and relaxation.

Through this year-long program, several progressive qigong series will be offered, each typically runs 6-8 weeks. This class is suitable for all ages and abilities. Families with children (age 8 or above) are welcome.

The Winter session beginning January 6th and running for 8 weeks includes the following:

1. The Power of Breathing. You will learn how to combine Qigong movements with breathing, a very effective way of increasing lung capacity, vascular circulation and lower extremity strength and great relaxation.

2. The Shaolin Yi Jing Jin. Shaolin (Shaolin Style) Yi (changing, stretching) Jing ( tendons, ligaments, muscles) Jin (way, method). This Qigong practice has 10 forms that stretch different parts of your body to enhance fitness and longevity.

“You gain 10 years of good life for every inch you are able to stretch”!

Payments: you may pay with a check for 8 sessions ($120) or you may pay at each class ($15). New students are welcome to join at any time!
