Life presents us with diverse experiences, some of which provoke emotions of anger, resentment, sadness, grief and others that we often find challenging to deal with. Societal conditioning urges us to “toughen up,” push through the pain and move on with our lives, leaving behind these heavy emotions and forsaking our wounds. Consequently, we store our unwanted emotions and memories into a box labeled “The Past” and hide it in the dark corners of our psyche.
The purpose of this presentation is to bring awareness to how unexpressed emotions, as well as wounds that have not been healed are unwilling to remain dormant; therefore, significantly influencing our perception, behavior and relationships. The audience will be introduced to a healing approach called Psychosomatic Journey and learn about essential elements that make the process of healing possible.
Laura Normile earned her Master’s degree in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. She offers psychosomatic guidance to facilitate healing of the past wounds and incorporates nurturing energy of Reiki treatment to reduce stress, promote relaxation and support clients’ wellbeing.
