Classes Temporarily Cancelled: Yoga 4 Cancer — we will resume later in the year… Join Carolana Dimopoulos, RTY 200 and certified y4c, Yoga 4 Cancer, teacher for an eight week Yoga 4 Cancer series of classes focusing on movement, meditation and mantra. Our classes will offer tools to take into daily life to reduce stress and promote well being.

Whether you are a cancer patient, survivor, newly diagnosed, in treatment or a caregiver, yoga can further your recovery and help you feel whole again. You may even find a confidence you have never known. But not all yoga classes are right for cancer patients and survivors. And for some, taking a yoga class can be intimidating because of the unique physical and emotional needs that cancer & its treatments bring.

The classes address the specific needs of cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. These classes are not one-size-fits-all, nor simply a gentle yoga class. Our classes will:

  • build strength & flexibility in safe ways
  • stimulate your immune system & build bone density
  • balance the nervous system
  • detox the body and cultivate a sense of well-being
  • create hope & community
  • empower all to take control & enhance your life

NOTE: Pre-registration is required. Class limited to 20 participants.
Participants must be medically cleared to participate.
