Our Beloved Mana Behan
Now we share you with the Universe By Mary Kathryn Jablonski
Of death, Gibran
said: “You would know the secret of death. But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life? The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light. If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life. For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.
“We are all overcome with loss, but also amazed by the story of her beautiful death, so much like her blessed life. She was vacationing on Murray Island at the St. Lawrence River with her family, surrounded by love. Let us comfort one another as we reflect upon her words:
“My intention as a teacher is to dive deep toward the pearls of painful struggle with awareness of sensations arising, as we hold a posture in the healing space of open heart with patience — and deep, respectful listening.
I want to keep it simple through faithful presence and meditative consciousness.”
