Dana Lau, PsyD
Dr. Dana Lau is a licensed clinical psychologist who holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University, Baltimore. She approaches therapy in a compassionate and respectful way. She utilizes both Dialectical Behavioral Techniques (DBT) and mindfulness to help people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addiction and/or difficulties adjusting to a changing environment. Dr. Lau helps clients learn how to tolerate emotional pain in difficult situations. She also assists with relationship difficulties by helping a client gain insight into asking for what they want, saying no when necessary, and maintaining healthy communication with others.
Dr. Lau works with adolescents, young adults, adults and families on a variety of issues. She specializes in working with young adults and has worked in the counseling centers at Princeton University and Carnegie Mellon University. Much of her work with the young adult population has focused on navigating their unique challenges, while helping them establish autonomy and responsibility.
