Joshua Green, PhD
Dr. Joshua Green is a post-doctoral psychologist who holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut. He works with adults struggling with anxiety and panic, depression, relationship difficulties, sexual concerns, as well as distress related to family relationships and life transitions.
Dr. Green integrates mindfulness with interventions that are appropriate to presenting concerns, including cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal-process approaches. He specializes in working with college students and those with a history of trauma.
I work with clients to cultivate a warm, non-judgmental space from which we can explore and address presenting concerns. Many of us adapt to life circumstances in ways that are necessary or functional, but later become problematic in new contexts. This leaves us with habits, feelings or reactions that we may want to change or better understand. My approach encourages individuals to become more fully present with their genuine experience as it arises, moment-by-moment, so they may learn to respond in new ways and chart a path forward. In this way, I strive to help people translate what they learn in our sessions to their outside lives. Ultimately, my hope for each person I work with is to not only meet their goals and lessen their distress, but also to help them flourish and find inner peace.
